History Of San Diego
Muslim Community Center
Founded in 2001, the Greater San Diego Muslim Community Center (GSDMCC) began in Rancho Penasquitos, providing prayer services and an Islamic school. By 2005, the GSDMCC Foundation was formed to acquire land for a new center in Santa Luz, raising $1.2M for a 10,000 SF facility that opened in 2010. Subsequent expansions included sports facilities and energy-efficient initiatives, reflecting the community's growth in attendance and enrollment
