An Interfaith Event – Building Bridges of Understanding and Helping the Refugees
Syrian Supply Distribution Drive and Picnic
This month (starting Saturday July 8th) MCC together with Islamic Center of San Diego (ICSD), Coast Vineyard Church, Makers Church, and Syrian Community Network (SCN) will start collecting household supplies from a list provided by Syrian Community Network for refugees.
If you would like to donate items for the Syrian families, please drop off the items listed below near the MCC kitchen. Here are the items needed by the Syrian Refugee family:
- Laundry Detergent
- Dish Soap
- Cleaning supplies (laysol spray, Clorox spray, window cleaner spray, sponges, all surfaces cleaning products)
- Paper towel
- Toilet paper
- Baby wipes
- Diapers sizes (3-6)
PLEASE NOTE: AT THIS TIME, MCC IS ONLY COLLECTING ITEMS PROVIDED ON THE ABOVE LIST! Thank you!
On August 5th at 12:00 to 3:00 pm all five groups will get together for a picnic in a park with Syrian Refugees and distribute the collected supplies. The picnic will be a potluck. A great opportunity to build bridges among our members and at the same time help our refugee brothers and sisters.
